how can I land a full time job in los angeles?
it was so frustrating to find a full time job with benefits in los angeles. i graduated last year with a 3.9 GPA in international business from a university top notch school. for two years, I've been working 39 hours a week as a coordinator of public relations. my debts. I wont work for 40 hours, or else they will need for my benefit. i am so frustrated with the job hunt. I I know what it takes to be a great employee, but I can do not even get an interview. My resume, cover letter referral, skills, etc. are great. However, I do not know very many people in los angeles, and I realized the network is extremely important. that's why I get to many people know now, but I need to pay bills while waiting! so far, I've mostly been looking for placements through search marketing job online, but none of them have been effective. where and how can I get the chance to showcase my ability (Less Best is to get an interview.) All I want is the opportunity to working in a company recognized. thanks
I hate to tell you this, but 30 + hours a week is considered full time. Contact HR your company and get a definition of "full time" and, without say what you are doing contact EEOC California and ask them if the company is violating. I was pretty sure they are, unless you signed a paper saying you will work "Perdiem."
